My name is Judd Smith and I’m a tired dad/husband that finds time every now and then to write about booze. I’m started my beverage career in Shreveport, LA working with some of the best people the service industry has to offer. While there, I tried to learn everything I could about wine, spirits, cocktails, beer, and service. In June of 2018, I transitioned to On-Premise(Restaurants/Bars) Sales in Memphis, TN with an amazing company. As of now, the family and I have made our way back to Shreveport, LA. Let’s talk booze!

As of this year, I am official with a WSET II certification and working on a few others. Everything posted on or associated with Beard and Barrel is completely my opinion. I don’t know everything but I definitely try to.
